British singer Adele stopped a show to make sure a fan received medical help. The kind-hearted Someone Like You hitmaker performed at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo last night, but halted the gig to allow experts to treat a fan who had fainted. The 23-year-old was about to sing her hit tune Rumour Has It when she noticed some commotion in the stalls and asked the audience: "Has someone fainted?" After people confirmed the incident, Adele screamed 'medic' into her microphone, before walking to the front of the stage. The pop star, who has been forced to cancel several shows because of a chest infection, asked members of the crowd to 'stand aside' while staff helped the ill fan. After the incident, Adele returned to centre stage and joked with the audience: "That's proper rock 'n' roll."

Adele has revealed that she is back in touch with the man who broke her heart and inspired her album 21. The 23-year-old British singer made the confession during the first of three live shows in London, and although the audience booed at the mention of him, she insisted that it has been long enough since they split for them to be friends again. "We're becoming friends again. It's all right I know what I'm doing. Enough time has gone by," she told the crowd, according to the Daily Star. "Now with what's going on with the album around the world it's important to be able to share it with him because it's marvellous what has happened. He changed my life, I can't deny that. ?? "The album helped me get over splitting up with my boyfriend. It helped me forgive and I hope that he has forgiven himself."
Adele joins in the praise for the Brit School as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua all started out there over the years since it opened in 1991. Some of its former pupils have been paying tribute to the school that helped launch their careers. Adele said: "I hate to think where I'd have ended up if I hadn't gone to the Brit School. "It's inspiring to be around 700 kids who want to be something, rather than 700 who just want to get pregnancy so they get their own flat. I remember wanting to go to Sylvia Young Theatre School because Baby Spice went there but my mum couldn't afford it. "But I loved the Brit School. It was a bit like Fame sometimes - you got people doing their ballet stretches and singers having sing-offs."

Adele has reportedly got to work on her track for the new James Bond movie. The 23-year-old British singer has been asked to submit a song for the latest instalment of the 007 franchise, and apparently got writing when a chest infection recently forced her to take a week off work. According to The Sun, she will work with Paul Epworth who has a reputation for co-writing and producing epic tracks, having worked on Plan B's Strickland Banks album and tracks for Florence And The Machine, as well as Cee Lo Green. A source said, "Adele is the obvious choice to record the next Bond theme. The last few songs for the spy movies have hardly set the charts alight. After her success this year filmmakers know the song is almost guaranteed to be a huge hit."
Adele has been forced to cancel her US tour for a second time after suffering a haemorrhage in her vocal chord. The 23-year-old Brit has had to pull the plug a 10-city concert series, which was due to kick off in Atlantic City, New Jersey on October 7, after being ordered to rest her voice or risk losing it for good. "Singing is literally my life, it's my hobby, my love, my freedom and now my job," she wrote on her official website Tuesday. "I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. "I will be back and I'm gonna smash the ball out the park once I'm touring again. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. "I know it's not only disappointing because of the show, but it's plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. "But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability." The singer cancelled a US tour in June after being diagnosed with laryngitis. She suffered a respiratory and chest infection just months later. She will now undergo 'vocal rehab' to improve her 'overall stamina'.
